Rocio Guerra, better known as Chio, was born and raised in Mexico where she began her studies in Innovation and Design. However, shorty there after, she decided to emigrate in search of her true calling.

Living in the United States, Chio studied Early Childhood Education while working as Au pair. 

Later on, she moved to Spain where she started working as an educator for pre-schoolers. 

Books, art and music have always been her favourite tools to help the little ones express  their creativity and feelings.

Making her own pictures to go along with moving and funny stories, opened for her the door into the world of illustration. She is currently living in Finland and works as an educator and as a freelance artist, illustrating both personal and commissioned  projects.

Drawing, whether digital or using traditional techniques, is something that relaxes her and makes her feel simply very happy. 

Chio takes her sketchbook everywhere to capture the energy and joy 

of children playing and to draw the world around her.
